Thank you for the detailed explanation. :)

It's really great to have a step-by-step guide for the people who truly want to learn how to get into the poses and do them correctly so we have a lifetime of proper form to get us focused, lean, and strong.

I had no idea this much preparation went into the pose to begin with, but now that I have practiced it enough it comes easily. Thank you for this free resource.

Ainsley just work on tadasana focusing on balance and symmetry till your spine starts to straighten and open up.
I think of the other poses as just ways to train to do tadasana with finer focus.

Ben

Go and practice at a yoga studio. They can help you with individual poses and language.

Cristina

Yoga is something you should be comfortable with. If you can't reach as far as the pictures show you then modify it. Some are more flexible than others so do what you think works for you. As long as you feel the stretch you are doing your job.

Ainsley Clarke

You show how it is done. What you don't do is give advice and help to ordinary people like myself who have tight hamstrings and no access to someone who can observe and help. If you can only reach your knees what do you do? ' Open the space between the pubis and top sternum?' How???? How do I get my knees to lock out so my legs are straight, not bent? How do I make progress? Tell me in plain english please.

Aman

For heaven's sake , make the language a bit user friendly .

How should the neck be when folding, I have heard gaze is up straight ahead and only between legs when fully folded.. but isn't there risk of straining the neck? or should your neck be aligned with your spine, gaze down the entire time?

liz

front torso is the front of your upper body. The part that is above your waist, generally.

Think of torso as upper body when you hinge your hips and bend forward, the part that raises when your lift back up.
