I agree with the last comment that the website and posture articles are very informative, however this triangle pose the written instructions have the heels aligned with each other the video clearly says line the front heel with the centre of the back foot. I have found this instruction diffucult for many people to follow and balance is an issue. |

Triangle can be problematic if practiced the traditional Iyengar way, the way it used to be taught, "between two plates of glass" . That position endangers the sacro-ilial joint. Allow the top hip to come forward, as noted above. Judith Lasseter has written an entire article on this! |

I also have lower back problems and Trikonasana is my favorite pose. It makes me feel completely empowered. One of my instructors told me that the reason I connect to this posture may be because my body knows it is just what it needs. As others have said, it is important to breathe into it, and be only where you are on that day. |
