I'm just beginning and I love your site. The steps are very helpful. Yoga is harder than it looks! haha |

can you explain why this pose is contraindicated for headaches, high and low blood pressure and insomnia? |

No2cat. The instructions given in the video are pretty inline with the iyengar school where the palm is placed outside the leg. |

No2-Depends on what school of yoga you come from. I practice Vinyasa, and my teachers teach us to place the arm inside the leg, as it helps to both externally rotate the upper arm, as well as find stability by pressing the arm into the leg. I am told that in Mysore Ashtanga they place the palm on the outside of the leg. |

How is this pose similar or different than the Triangle of the Bikram series? |

The written directions about what to do with the arm that goes down do not agree with the photo. The directions say put the fingers on the floor OUTSIDE the foot and press the knee against the inner arm; the photo clearly shows the arm INSIDE the bent leg. Which is correct? |

Avoid if you have Osteoporosis. Risk of pressure fractures. |
