I need to know how the hip box is supposed sit. Are the front top hips tipped forward? Or is the entire hip frame sitting squarely on the floor.

None of the preparatory poses have the same key actions as the main pose. I would suggest alternate leg lifting in down dog, lots of low lunges, and ardha hanumanasa (from low lunge, straighten front leg as you square the pelvis, taking the stretch into the hamstrings of the front leg).

Your details and recommendations are excellent. I also pass many of the asanas and detailed instructions on to my Yoga students. Keep up the good work!

Great tips! Thank you

Sibylle

The descriptions of the asanas are wonderful - this is a great resource. I have a suggestion though - when trying to do an asana its hard to read the description and do it at the same time. Can you do an audio file as well, that way I can click on that, listen as I do the practice?
thanks
