Dave, I am 61 now and hear you! But this is still the best all round mini practice. Just modify the poses; surya namaskar can even be modified for a chair practice. (peek inside Deepak Chopra "Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga") Warm Wishes!
so nice of guiding people trough yoga
A great event for Suryanamaslar lovers - A Suryanamaskar marathon. For more info visit: http://www.hssus.org/sny/. Site also has lots for resources.
Getting up in the A.M. and going into Sun Salutations may be OK for the young, but try it at age 63 with a back and knees that require a long warm up.
For a wider range of sun salutations, see 'Sun Yoga - the Book of Sűrya Namaskâr', which has 24 different versions including for pregnancy, a bad back, less supple, more supple and many more. Available by post - check it out at firstname.lastname@example.org
Perhaps be more verbose about the flow between the poses. It leaves too much to the imagination.
Yes... this series is great, but i would love to see a modified version for beginners.
It's quite hard reading and doing the pose. How can i get a copy of the Surya Namaskar A (Sun Salutation) (yoga Step by step) video with Natasha Rizopoulous? It's very easy to follow than other videos i have seen. It would be helpful if it will available for download to IPod. Thanks!
Not everyone can do Plank, Up-facing Dog what about modifications?
