Kristy

I am 45 years old and started doing yoga about 6 months ago. In the past 6 months my periods have a much heavier flow for a couple days, but they only last 2-1/2 days. They used to be somewhat light and lasted 4 to 5 days. Also, my periods have gone from every 28 days to every 21 days in the last few cycles. I actually enjoy the fact that the periods are shorter, but am wondering if there could be a connection between my yoga practice and my change in periods or if maybe this signals beginning of perimenopause. I have a regular annual physical coming up to let my physician know of the changes, but wanted to ask the question to a yoga expert!
