Yes, trying to explain a stretch via words could have me tied in knots. pictures or video :p
i find your information very helpful and informative. although, long explanation. I really wish you had this on video. it would be so helpful. Ive been in pain now for 3yrs.Ive had physical therapy and numerous cortisone shots. Im not able to ride my bike, power walk, spin, dance. My doctors have released this surgically and it didnt work. Looking at a second surgery.
I was fortunate enough to attend Liz's workshop earlier this year and highly recommend it. There is so much more than what is in this article. There are no quick fixes.
Thank you Liz for what you bring into the world.
I agree with Bennie. A few photos or ,better still, a short VIDEO would be the best way instead of having to read a long discourse when you need to stretch your psoas NOW!
bennie and the jets
This is good information, but when need exercises quickly, I don't want to read that long explanation. It would help if you have an at a glance summary of this post, because I'm sure the content is good. The photo is helpful.
Love this. I shared it!
I appreciate your knowledge with this key muscle of our body for my own healing.
I would also like to know more the psoas muscle area that we can gently massage for release in our abdomen.
psoas muscle in spainish is musculo psoas
Can anybody tell me the spanish translation for psoas?
Have had hip issues for some time now and will try these exercises. best thing for me in my healing has been yin yoga/anusara, a style of massage called "rolfing" ... and a willingness to face deep emotional issues and trauma related to tension & holding in the hips. thanks for writing this. it is a good reference & i'll be showing this to others.
