hi james, I experienced that feeling occasionally when meditating. I think the type of meditation is not as important but my attunment. At first I also feel confused and slightly scared as I think I going mad, but then when I surrender to it - I become aware that i am closer to 'god', 'who' will always take care of me,if this is what I want . It is the best feeling of I have ever experienced of total peace and joy.
Is this meditation supposed to cause OBEs? When I reach the point where my entire aura is saturated with the golden light my perception feels like it's spilling out into my environment, which isn't always a big deal but when I'm in yoga class it starts to feel like I'm experiencing the room from the vantage point of everyone in the room simultaneously, with eyes closed yet seeing clearly. Is that supposed to happen or am i not properly grounded? Seeing a room from so many perspectives simultaneously can be a bit startling and confusing.
