I practiced Ashtanga for 5 years, and in 2008 had an op..Laporotomy, which is like a caesar, but slightly bigger, to remove endometriosis...i haven't done yoga since and just started slowly again, want to know if there is specific poses to help with the tightness i feel in the affected area i.e. the womb are, i feel like scar tissue could be an issue.
Any tips for good yoga exercises PRE-op?
I'm only 3 weeks post op an abdominal hysterectomy. I have a little belly fat, and I wasn't very physically active pre-op. I wasn't a couch potato either, but.. I'm definitely feeling IT now! My surgery started out to be vaginal, but in the O.R. they realized it wasn't going to come out that way.. So.. I wasn't prepared to feel so yucky. As a none yoga student, Well.. I'm a new student now - thanks to this article.. But how do I start? I feel desperate to be able to do something to heal and feel better by the time I go in for my six week check up!
I'm six weeks post op vaginal hysterectomy.
My doctor told me I could return to Yoga since I kept pestering him about it. He told me to listen to my body and be careful.
The comments about warrior pose are good. I don't have as much space between my feet as I did prior to surgery. Triangle also feels a bit uncomfortable.
How long will it be before I can stretch out over a yoga ball or do wheel? I'm thinking several months of not longer. Just don't want to cause any injury or damage.
