It's also important to note that when Netti-potting, one should refrain from going outside for at least an hour afterwards, so that all the water has time to drain. If not, we risk greater congestion. It is thus best to netti pot at night before bed. As well, the netti pot should be done crouching or in a low malasana squat to close the nadis of the digestive system and focus purification in the sinuses.
