das	the Satyananda tradition teaches that the mantra is most powerful when recited mentally. One of of OM chanting practices uses a 3:2:1 time ratio when chanting OM, aloud:whispered:mental repetition

chillariga ramarao	I had a feelimg earlier that the mantra OM should always be repeated loudly.Now it is clear that what is needed is repitition ,not necessarily loudly.Thanks for the clarification
