Every Yogi Surprise box is curated with a theme, says Karine Wascher, merchandise manager for the brand, which launched in 2014. “Our dharma is to share products that have meaning,” she adds. The company also gives back to groups like the Yoga on High Foundation, which supports teacher trainees who may not be financially able to pay for training.
What's in the boxes:
June Yoga Box: The company’s “Bliss Out” theme permeates through the products in its June Yoga Box ($44.95/month with a retail value of $70), including a Tibetan Singing Bowl, Wooden Striker, and Hand Sewn Cushion.
Yoga Jewelry Box: To help keep a yogi’s practice alive and fresh, a Yoga Jewelry Box ($24.99/month with a retail value of $65) delights with hand-crafted jewelry such as mala bracelets and necklaces, diffuser necklaces with essential oils, and more.
Men’s Yoga Box: In time for Father’s Day, YogiSurprise will introduce its Men’s Yoga Box, ($55.95). “Twenty-eight percent of total yogis now are men, up from 18 percent in 2012. It’s an underserved population,” says Wascher. Some male-specific items will include skin and body care products, oils, candles, and incense.

The practice of mindfulness is at the core of every goodie in these boxes, with themes ranging from self-love to goal-setting.
“Our May Box is about self-love—something we don’t focus on enough,” says Shelli Ernst, president of Simply Southern Ventures, Inc., which now owns Mindfulness Box (it originally launched in 2015). In keeping with the theme, May products include a rose quartz bracelet, rose petal bath balm, rocky rose soap, and rose incense.
What's in the box:
Monthly boxes: Monthly boxes ($29/month; $82/three-month prepay; $162/six-month prepay and $318/12-month prepay) have included treats such as incense, essential oils, amethyst stones, and a selenite heart.

When Maxine Garcia founded BuddhiBox in 2014, “I wanted to find a way to provide access to products that yogis love at price points they would be willing to pay for,” she says. Since launching her first Yoga Box filled with a mixture of fitness accessories, skincare, and lifestyle items, sales have taken off, and the company has amassed thousands of loyal subscribers. “I try to be very authentic to our brand,” adds Garcia. “We donate a percent of proceeds to a different charity each month for seva, as we want to keep things true to message.”

Mantra Box was created by Candace Moore, a yoga instructor, healthy living blogger, and entrepreneur who has over 45,000 Instagram (@yogabycandace) followers. Moore launched Mantra Box in 2015, when small businesses kept asking her to help get the word out about their products. Only 150 boxes are available for preorder, and the contents are always a total surprise. They've sold out every time!
What's in the box:
Quarterly boxes: Each box, which is available on a quarterly basis from $49.99, contains eight to 10 fitness, health, and wellness products. For those who follow a special diet, such as paleo or vegetarian, “We’ll be sure any snacks we include will be suitable for you,” says Moore. Last Winter's box included Epsom Salt, Smoothie Beauty Boost, a Vegan Protein Bar, an Herbal Recovery Aide, and plant-based chocolate Omega Munch snack. A previous "I Am Rejuvenated" box included Chakra blend essential oil, cozy socks, natural and organic bath and beauty products, and more.
