Over the weekend, Gawker posted this video of yogis demonstrating Acroyoga on a New York Subway. It looks like a good time. But the Gawker writer doesn't think so.

"We do not respect efforts to turn public transportation areas into bourgie personal gyms--or, for that matter, attempts to be 'funny' by making 'jokes' about the homeless. Way to reinforce a stereotype, you lithe shoeless wonders," Gawker wrote. Ouch!

The commentary might be a little harsh, but does the writer have a point? Is turning yoga into a public performance a pointless attempt to get attention? Or does it simply show a fun and lighthearted side of a serious practice?
