This week, the astrology revolves around the full Moon doubling as a lunar eclipse, an event that will shape these entire seven days and beyond.
Eclipses are regarded as major astrological events. Eclipses speak to fated change, destiny, and realignment of our lives. There is a sense of the universe, life, divinity, or whatever you believe in coming and clearing out what was never in alignment with our greatest potential. It’s a time of opening new doors to some of our most memorable chapters and fulfilling experiences.
During eclipse season, we are reminded that there is something greater than ourselves looking out for us, an intelligence orchestrating synchronicities and opportunities on a level that we may not fully grasp. If you are in the midst of great change and upheaval in your life, keep this knowing close: It will make perfect sense one day.
Full Moon lunar eclipse in Taurus
On November 8, 2022, we are gifted with a full Moon lunar eclipse in Taurus. Lunar eclipses can be thought of as full Moons with the volume turned way up. They hold the essence of finalizations, the closing of chapters, and an overall feeling of releasing and leaving something behind.
While the Moon is in Taurus, she sits next to the North Node. In astrology, the North Node can be understood as our purpose. It is the path we have chosen to take. The energy continuously calling us forward throughout life. The journey that feels perfectly aligned and most fulfilling.
When we experience a full Moon in conjunction with the North Node, the greatest healing, gifts, and overall growth can be found by leaning into the higher potentials of whatever sign they both reside in. By doing that, the old can begin to fall away.
As Taurus comes in to anchor us more deeply into our sense of innate value, stability, and safety, we may experiences situations and challenges where we have no choice but to rely on that inner worth. We may be presented with a turning point and start to make decisions only from a place of knowing our value. We may become both the parent and the inner child, the recipient and the source of stability. We may be asked to say goodbye to anything that doesn’t match up to this way of being.
As we immerse ourselves in the higher octaves of Taurus, we are guided to see the beauty, the gifts, the sparkle, and magic in our physical senses, in the world around us, and in what we have previously regarded as mundane. We are invited to build, from the ground up, our own sense of inner safety and stability into a place of true worthiness and belonging.
As great transformation occurs—and as we walk through the underbelly of healing, releasing, and changing—the North Node sits in Taurus with an invitation to let the beauty of life support you. To let the foundational healing of the Earth hold you and remind you that you are supported during this transition. To let your body become your home more deeply than ever before and remind you that you belong. To come home to the humanness of your experience and to root yourself in that very humanness. It is in saying yes to the human experience that a sense of greater purpose finds you.
This Moon reminds you that your divinity is embedded deep within your humanness. Perhaps it is not searching for something outside of yourself that brings you deeper communion with life, but rather sinking into your everyday experience. Perhaps it is in deepening into the blessing of your five senses—the gift of being able to see your physical world, touch it, hear, smell, and taste it—that your sixth sense will find you. Perhaps it is in seeing the gifts of the mundane that the magic appears.
As we experience the North Node of purpose and potential with a full Moon of release and endings, we have a moment in time that exists for each of us to release the old and step into the who we were always meant to be.
