This week, the Moon meets her fullness in the Earth sign of Capricorn. We meet a full Moon approximately every 28 days, and when we do, it often becomes the central emotional experience for the week, pulling, moving, and awakening our emotions. Bringing subtle and intuitive messages from our bodies to the surface to be heard. Perhaps you are already feeling the pull?
Full Moon in Capricorn
Astrology represents the different shades, paths, and experiences of this deeply spiritual, deeply human life through the various signs of the zodiac. Each sign explores an entirely different aspect of what it means to be alive. Some zodiac signs activate in the etheric and do powerful energetic work. Other zodiac signs go deep within our emotional bodies to heal us. There are zodiac signs that are all about the mind, relationships, our physical bodies, our sense of adventure, and so much more.
Capricorn as a zodiac sign grounds us into the physical and reminds us of the power in being dedicated to our goals and of our sole responsibility in pursuing them. Capricorn continually speaks to our collaboration with time, reminding us that our biggest dreams and long-term plans often require efforts that may not bring instant rewards, but rather require a long-term commitment and trust in our actions.
This Earth sign is devoted to patience and hard work and getting up each time we fall, knowing that we are stronger and wiser each time. It’s a sign that asks us to say “yes” to our bigger vision over and over and over again. Capricorn asks that whatever we build, create, and dedicate ourselves to experiencing in our lives be built on a stable, healthy, and strong foundation so that it may stand the test of time.
While the Sun in Cancer will shine on our inner foundations this week, the Moon in Capricorn will illuminate our outer foundations. When the Moon is full, her light is bright, shining like a big, beautiful torch on all that was previously unseen.
Other planetary influences
There is a beautiful tapestry of support painting the skies this week, particularly while the Moon is full. The Sun in Cancer will nurture our inner needs while Mercury, also in the same caring sign, will bring compassion for self to our thoughts and priorities.
Venus, our planet of love and harmony, sits in relation to Saturn in a way that is deeply supportive of the full Moon energies. This takes what could be a serious endeavor of structure, long-term plans, and responsibility and adds beauty, luck, encouragement, and a sense of abundance.
Uranus, our planet of change and evolution, will also sprinkle some of its energy into this lunation by inviting us to think outside of the box, to consider the direction of our growth, to contemplate our next selves, and to step into our next chapters.
And our dear warrior planet Mars, also positioned in an Earth sign, will support the Moon’s invitation to lean into our long-term visions and create stability in the foundations of our lives. These are the structures that hold us—our careers, plans, finances, family, relationships, and more.
The torch-like illumination of the full Moon will ask us to explore how we can bring our inner and outer foundations into alignment. How our long-term plans, visions, and goals can align with our core inner values, needs, and desires. How we can be our own healers, our own parental figures, and gift ourselves the responsibility needed to be the creators of our own lives.
With this, of course, sits the invitation for the perspective that self-responsibility is a gift. This full Moon reminds us that self-responsibility can be liberating, structures can be supportive, and that with dedication and time, our unique version of success is inevitable.
It reminds us that time allows for maturation and wisdom, that within stumbling sits incredible growth, and that the journey to the top of your mountain is where experience exists.
This week will also ask us to nourish our inner worlds so that we may bring our outer structures into alignment with our true inner selves. Capricorn is connected to our careers and public image, so perhaps there is an invitation to make any changes in our work life where we are inhibiting ourselves or where we feel unable to shine as beautifully and freely as the full Moon.
The planets are coming together to support any changes that come up under this Moon, so take a few moments with your breath and allow yourself to feel that deep support.
Words of Healing
My goals, visions, and dreams are on purpose. I am patient and willing, devoted and trusting.
I release all that doesn’t support my worth. I release all that doesn’t lift me up. My success is inevitable.
I move at a pace that is sustainable. Time is on my side.
I am supported by the Universe, the Earth, the Moon. All of Life supports my fulfillment.
