Bede Griffiths: An Introduction to His Interspiritual Thought by Wayne Teasdale

SkyLight Paths;

British-born Benedictine monk Bede Griffiths (1906–1993) went to India half a century ago and spent the rest of his life seeking a synthesis of Eastern and Western thought, developing in the process a theology he called Christian Vedanta. His vision touched many lives, and his many writings provide fertile territory for modern seekers to explore. Wayne Teasdale, author of The Mystic Heart (New World, 2001) and A Monk in the World (New World, 2003) and himself a lay monk, originally wrote this work as his doctoral dissertation. Its publication as a minimally revised general-audience edition makes for a welcome addition to the literature of contemporary spirituality.
