Deepak Chopra empowers children to find positive ways in which they would like to change the world through mindfulness exercises.
As parents and adults, we have a responsibility to try to raise our children to strive to make a positive difference in the world and to give them the tools to be as happy as possible. Though meditation is only one approach to help inspire kids to find meaning, it can leave lasting impressions on a young person. In my work with children I’ve noticed that many young minds tend to wander or get lost, with no idea of what they want or if they have a purpose in life. While uncertainty can be healthy and exciting, it is also very important to help kids find direction and work toward something meaningful.

Deepak Chopra, M.D., a meditation expert for Sonima.com, empowers children to find positive ways in which they would like to change the world through mindfulness exercises. The importance of instilling positive values and intention in kids from a young age has the ability to make a substantial difference in the way that our society evolves. This short practice inspires children to look at the bigger picture, center themselves, and reflect on what type of impact they want to make on the world. I’ve found this exercise can even be fun to do with your child or to even try it by yourself.
