Baptiste Power Yoga teacher and holistic health coach Leah Cullis, who will lead Yoga Journal’s upcoming online course Pillars of Power Yoga, reveals a few of the treasured things she always keeps handy.
Young Living Deep Relief Roll-On
Cullis keeps these Young Living roll-ons in all of her bags and often gives them away as gifts. “I’ve been using them for years, especially when I’m on the road or in a long training,” she says. “I roll on the back of my neck and shoulders to relieve tension, on my temples if I have a headache, on my stomach if my tummy feels unsettled, or on my feet, hands, and chest to simply perk me up when I’m feeling low energy.”
Lululemon The (Small) Towel
“I keep a small sweat towel in my bag so that I can pop into a class at anytime,” Cullis says. Lululemon designed their (Small) Towel to be a quick savior, whether you’re heading to yoga, cycling, or the gym.
Daily Greens Harmony Juice
Cullis is a big fan of green drinks and usually has 1–2 a day, especially when she’s teaching. “They give me enough nutrients and fuel, while keeping my body and mind light,” she says. Her favorites are Harmony from Daily Greens and Green Summer from People’s Pharmacy in Austin.

C and Co. Lavender, Rose & Tea Tree Underarm Balm
C and Co.’s underarm balm is the ultimate all-natural deodorant, according to Cullis. “I teach hot, sweaty yoga. I’ve tried every natural deodorant out there, and this stuff really works!” she says. “I feel like I stumbled upon some magic potions when I found this store in Asheville, NC, where they make all-natural body care products.”
Just Pake Crystal Necklace
Cullis throws on her long crystal quartz necklace on top of a dress in between classes and meetings. “I have some incredible jewelry from Mana Culture in Austin, TX,” Cullis says. “They have amazing pieces from local artists.”

B Yoga B Strap
The B Yoga B Strap is perfect for carrying your mat around outside of the studio. Cullis always keeps hers handy. “I like the style of the strap and that it goes with my boots for the fall,” she says.
Years ago, Cullis heard both Dr. Wayne Dyer and Doreen Virtue say that they write primarily with purple pens. “As two authors and teachers I admire, I quickly adopted this practice of writing in purple,” she says. Cullis always has purple pens with her. Friends will even give them to her as gifts!

Purple Moleskine Notebook
Cullis has carried a notebook around with her since she was a kid. “When I write or draw something and see it, it starts to come to life for me,” she says. “My mom gives me notebooks every time I see her, and they are usually purple.” Cullis loves purple moleskins because they’re just the right size to fit into any bag.
Chrysocolla is known to be a stone of the Goddess and of female empowerment. Cullis carries hers everywhere and often holds it in her palm to clear her mind. “A good friend gave this to me as I was going through some major life transitions a few years ago,” she says. “It reminds me to stay grounded in loving energy and to flow from my center, my truth.”

Wide Mouth Hydroflask
Cullis’ wide mouth hydroflask is her go-to water bottle, on and off the mat. “It keeps my tea hot and water cold,” she says. “And the lid is super secure for when I’m running around town.”
