No need to book an appointment at the spa — you can whip up an Ayurvedic facial customized for your skin type at home using all-natural ingredients.
If you have dry, wrinkled, or combination skin: Mix 1/2 cup almond meal with 1/2 cup dry organic milk. For added nutrition, add 4 teaspoons Brahmi powder. Add 1 tablespoon of organic heavy whipping cream and 10 drops of rose, neroli, or jasmine essential oil to the almond mixture. Massage into skin for about one minute and leave on for 10-15 minutes to allow the mixture to penetrate the skin. Use as needed. Keeps refrigerated for a few weeks.
If you have rosy, red, or slightly oily skin: Mash half a banana. Add a teaspoon of honey and 10 drops of rose, sandalwood, or ylang-ylang essential oil. Slather on face. Lie down and take some deep belly breaths for 20 minutes. Rinse.
If you have overly moist or oily skin: Mash several large strawberries or a papaya. Add 5 drops lavender essential oil and 5 drops clary sage oil. Slather on face. Lie down and take some deep belly breaths for 20 minutes. Rinse.
