Women’s fashion designer Trina Turk is no stranger to the mat—she regularly does yoga, Pilates, and barre classes. So it makes sense that she brought her love of movement to her clothing line and started making activewear this year. “Everything we produce is upbeat and happy,” says the Los Angeles local. “If I’m not feeling that way, it comes through in the collections, so I try to remain levelheaded. Exercise and yoga help me maintain my calm.” Here, Turk shares what she carries to class—along with her own fab leggings and tanks, of course.
Reusable water bottles are better for the environment than plastic, says Turk. Among her favorites, Sigg’s Fabulous 0.6-liter bottle: “I like the form-follows-function simplicity of the plain aluminum bottle.” $23, mysigg.com
To prevent slipping on the mat, Turk uses yoga socks. Try ToeSox’s Full Toe Low Rise Grip Socks. $15, toesox.com
Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer helps Turk do quick touchups after an energetic practice. $70, cledepeau-beaute.com
“Women should have multiple pairs of sunglasses—nerdy, classic, oversized, and a cateye style,” she says. Turk’s current go-to? Karen Walker styles like the Faithful. $250, karenwalker.com
Trina Turk’s Jet Set Jacquard Moto Jacket keeps the designer warm as she travels to and from the studio. $154, trinaturk.com
