Recipe: DIY Ayurvedic Face Wash
· 2 cups chickpea flour
· 1 teaspoon triphala powder
· 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
· ½ teaspoon neem powder
· ½ teaspoon tulsi powder
· ¼ teaspoon ginger powder (*for pitta skin, substitute ginger with ¼ teaspoon hibiscus powder)
In a medium mixing bowl, stir all dry ingredients together until well-blended. To store, pour into a large glass mason jar and seal to maintain dryness.
For daily washing, first remove surface grime by rinsing your face with warm water. Keep the face wet and wash thoroughly using 1 heaping teaspoon of the mix (avoid around the eyes). You may need to add a few more drops of water to ensure a moist, paste-like consistency. Rinse thoroughly and pat the skin dry with a towel. Allow the skin to breathe a few minutes, then follow with your favorite organic moisturizer. Enjoy your new spring glow!
