Throughout the country, people are taking to the streets and social media to protest the unjust killing of George Floyd, as well as the countless other black lives lost to police brutality in the U.S. If you're a black yogi or looking for black yogis to support during this time, check out the thread below for a list of black yogis to follow right now. In general, follow these tips if you are overwhelmed by the voices on social media:

  • Mute and block accounts on social media that are triggering you.
  • It’s okay to hit that unfollow button for folks you know IRL.
  • You don’t have to follow every news update to care.
  • It’s okay to rest. For black folks, part of the work is simply giving space for ourselves to grieve.
