Only in Vegas: Join Dharma Yoga teacher Eileen Lorraine for an electrifying practice among retired neon signs this summer in her pop-up hot yoga sessions at Las Vegas’s Neon Museum.
For the first time the Neon Museum will host pop-up hot yoga sessions in the outdoor Neon Boneyard, an up-close-and-personal outdoor exhibition of retired Las Vegas signs. The sessions will be taught by Eileen Lorraine, a 500RYT Dharma Yoga teacher who runs the Underground Yoga Movement and also teaches yoga at the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center. “[The pop-up yoga session] allows those with a regular practice to get out of their normal studios to gain a new perspective and have a unique experience,” Lorraine says.
Held in the shaded portion of the Neon Boneyard, the classes are suited for all levels of yogis—beginners to advanced. Set to Las Vegas-inspired throwback beats, the yoga sessions will be complemented by the unique backdrop. “The signs are pure Las Vegas and to get to visit the museum is in itself a treat, so for yogis to get to flow amongst them is another level of appeal,” Lorraine says.
The event will be held on five Wednesday evenings this summer, starting July 6 at 5:30 p.m. Temperatures are expected to soar to 100 degrees or higher, so make sure to bring plenty of water, your own yoga mat, towel and any additional yoga props you need.
Yoga at the Neon Museum Boneyard is restricted to participants 18 years of age or older or children accompanied by an adult guardian.
