Live Be Yoga: Top 10 Must-Dos in Chicago

Our ambassadors had a great time in Chi-town experiencing the arts, eats, and yoga! Here are their top 10 picks.

Top 10 Must-Dos in Chicago

Yogaview

None

Our first yoga experience in Chicago was facilitated by Quinn at Yogaview. The studio is beautiful and the community is so welcoming! It is a beautifully open space articulated by industrial finishes with exposed beams. It has three separate practice rooms that are all spacious, as well as beautiful murals and decorations throughout the studio.

OhmCulture

None

This lovely newer studio is extremely modern, but also warm, friendly and authentic. Walking up the stairs, we could smell the fresh burning of incense. It’s also conveniently located near Restaurant Row for anyone looking to have a yoga/dinner date!

Little Goat Diner

None

Girl & the Goat’s little sister, Little Goat is an upscale and innovative diner. They have a separate gluten-free menu and serve breakfast all day! This is where we had dinner after our amazing class at OhmCulture, and yes, I did order breakfast for dinner.

Cloud Gate, aka “The Bean”

None

Cloud Gate is a public sculpture by Indian-born British artist Anish Kapoor. I read that Kapoor was inspired by liquid mercury, and Cloud Gate is one of the most stunning exhibits I’ve seen outdoors! It’s also a great spot to meditate.

FireFin Poké Shop

None

While exploring the city doing epic walks, Brant discovered FireFin Poké, and it was my first poké experience. They also have organic Buddha chocolate you can buy for dessert. I will definitely be eating here again when I’m in the city!

Caffe Oliva

None

We stumbled across this café on our way to Navy Pier. It’s the perfect spot to see the city and check out the scene on the sand. It’s a great place for a light bite and a cold beverage. It also has gluten-free and veggie options.

Dollop Coffee Company

None

I have two words for you: Almond Latte. The best! This local coffee shop also has an assortment of locally made pastries. It’s a great spot to work, study, or grab coffee with a friend.

CHILL Meditation Studio

None

A sanctuary in Chicago is born. This is the perfect meditation location–you feel the zen vibes the minute you walk in. Claire Mark teaches a combination yoga/meditation class that is suitable for all levels and creates the perfect environment to unwind and chill out!

Wendella Sightseeing Boats

None

We were so lucky to experience this boat tour. Our guide was informative, friendly, and fun, and we learned all about the architecture in Chicago.

360 Sky Yoga

None

360 Sky Yoga is a one-hour weekly class led by 360 CHICAGO’s professional instructor. Participants are led through meditation and gentle flow movements to awaken the senses, as well as stretches, breath-centered movements, and morning salutations. Plus, it just might have the most breathtaking views in all of Chicago!

Bonus: Rishi Tea

None

While in the Midwest, we took a little road trip to Milwaukee to visit our favorite tea company, Rishi Tea. It’s not open to the public yet, but they may offer tea classes in the future. Find them at most Whole Foods and great coffee shops around the country. (Rishi Tea is a 2017 Live Be Yoga Tour Sponsor.)
