“The Good Life” isn’t just the title of DJ Taz Rashid’s new single, it aptly describes his philosophy toward life. In this intimate conversation with LBY Ambassador Trisha Fey Elizarde, Taz talks about his evolution from the grind of the business world to global yoga DJ extraordinaire. Join this inspiring conversation!
DJ Taz Rashid instantly brings a high vibrational energy to any room by mixing the beats and rhythms of Love, Ancient New World, House, Devotional, and all the cosmic sounds. Taz is a musician, composer, and producer who plays guitar, piano, Native American flute, didgeridoo, and hand percussion. He uses these instruments to connect with source energy, moving practitioners to connect with their higher selves. His vision is to help channel the expansion of others—by tapping into the creative wisdom of the body and allowing us to feel, let go, and awaken.
With his expertise in music for yoga and meditation, Taz’s mission is to inspire yoga instructors to be mindful of the music playlists they use in their classes. Techniques like breath beat sequencing help to foster a sound healing experience for practitioners. Taz assists teachers through workshops designed to empower them to cultivate their own inner yoga DJ—learning how to create a soundscape for their classes which enriches the yoga practice and supports their own unique sound personality.
DJ Taz creates mindful events worldwide, performing and DJing at events like Wanderlust Festivals, Arise Festival, Bhakti Fest, Bali Spirit Fest and many more high vibrational gatherings.
