This Sunday, hundreds of thousands of people are expected to gather in Mexico City's historic Zócalo to honor all of those affected by tragedy in recent months with the sixth Global Gathering for Peace and Healing. And you can join them from wherever you are. The 90-minute mass meditation, sponsored by non-profit Naam Yoga LA, will be guided by founder Dr. Joseph Michael Levry and live-streamed around the globe.
“All people contain within themselves the light of healing and hope—a piece of the divine whole, which we can, with the right help, access and use to be a blessing to this world," Dr. Levry says. "The Global Gathering for Peace and Healing is designed to unlock that healing, hopeful energy. There is no better time than right now to come together and connect with the positive healing force of the human heart, given recent natural disasters and acts of violence in various parts of the world." The Mexico City meditation will direct this positive energy to the survivors of the California wildfires, the central Mexico earthquake, Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, the deadly shootings and terror attacks in Las Vegas, New York City, and Texas, and most recently, the Iraq and Iran earthquake.
"When multitudes of people come together to align their brain waves for a healing cause, the concentrated and positive energy increases exponentially, creating a beneficial explosion of light that spreads throughout the world. Thousands and thousands are coming together to do something positive and good for Mother Earth," Dr. Levry says. The event is expected to attract people from all over the world, including public figures and spokespeople such as Stella Hopkins, wife of Sir Anthony Hopkins, and founder of Equinox Lavinia Errico.
