How about a breathing technique that has soothes the central nervous system in 30 seconds or less? Try it for 2 minutes any time you need to redirect your attention from a cyclical thought, craving, or reaction and clear your head.

Double-Down Breathing Technique

Sit somewhere quiet.

  • Inhale through the nose for 3 slow counts
  • Hold the breath in for 3 counts
  • Exhale twice as slow for 6 counts
  • Hold the exhale for 3 counts
