Giselle Mari’s introduction to yoga in the early ’90s was a natural progression from her gymnastics/dance background, her passion for music, and her childhood (she was raised by a bohemian flamenco dancer). Today all of these influence her approach to teaching and to life. Think spunk, grit, and spirit.
Teaching for almost 15 years and an E-RYT 500, Giselle’s lighthearted but comprehensive teaching style weaves yogic philosophy, Sanskrit, anatomy, skillful hands-on assists, funky eclectic music, and tons of fun. Giselle has had the honor to train with such luminaries as Sharon Gannon, David Life, Sarah Powers, and Paul Grilley, to name a few. A faculty member for the esteemed Jivamukti teacher training and global teacher, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she also serves on the advisory board for The Art of Yoga Project. When not teaching, she loves being with her amazing husband, daughter, and four dogs all of whom inspire and support her every day.
