Longtime yoga practitioner Kelly McGonigal uses science to prove that meditation restructures your brain and trains it to concentrate, feel greater compassion, cope with stress, and more. Her books include The Willpower Instinct and Yoga for Pain Relief, as well as the audio program The Neuroscience of Change. She is a lecturer at Stanford University’s School of Medicine’s Health Improvement program, a founding member of the Yoga Service Council, and an advisor to nonprofit yoga and meditation organizations such as Yoga Bear and The Art of Yoga Project.
