Have a case of the winter blahs? It’s impossible to stay in a funk after doing several rounds of Leap Frogs. They flip your world upside down, get you out of your head and into your body, and they’re fun!
From Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), shorten your stance until your shoulders shift over your wrist creases and the hips start to come up over the shoulders in a Handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana) prep. Set your gaze to the floor slightly in front of the hands.Press the floor, lift the core and come up onto the balls of the feet. From here, slightly bend the knees and then press up (it may look like a hop, but we want more press than jump here!) and bring your legs into a slight diamond shape with the inner edges of the feet touching and the pinky toe edges of the feet pulling back toward the outer ankles. Keep the arms completely engaged and straight. See if you can hover for a moment or two, then repeat 5-10 times. Rest in Child’s Pose (Balasana) for 15-30 seconds and repeat the same set two more times.
