Kathryn Budig talks snow and flow with the Olympian. Plus, three poses to make your time on the mountain even sweeter.
The end of snow sports season is approaching, but there’s still time to get some last set of turns in. To make them even sweeter, I talked with Olympic snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler about her three favorite yoga poses and how the practice benefits snowboarders.
The Benefits of Yoga and Snowboarding
Of course, yoga makes everything better, but I was interested in how Gretchen thinks it improves her time on the mountain. “Snowboarding and yoga are both great tools for life!” she said. “What we learn on our mat and on our snowboards is what we can take with us into our everyday lives to live with intention, meaning, purpose, stability, and ease!”
Gretchen is also devoted to a daily meditation practice. She has inspired me for years with her success, dedication, and incredibly warm personality. So I’m thrilled to partner with her and combine our passions for a weekend of snow and flow over the last weekend of the season in Aspen April 17–20th. If you’re interested, come join the fun here!
