If you need to recenter yourself—and tune into your body—before heading into the new year, this is a great flow to try. This online virtual class begins at 1 p.m. EST and is perfect for yogis of all levels. Tickets to this online class start at $49. However, if you are experiencing financial hardship, you can purchase a discounted ticket for $20.
If you want to reflect on the past year and set intentions for the coming year, this online meditation class is a great option. Through this 20-minute meditation session, you’ll be able to open your heart up to the possibility of the new year, while offering yourself compassion for anything that you went through during the past year. This event is free—and open to yogis of all levels and abilities.
Mang’Oh Yoga, a studio based in New York City, is offering a special livestream class on New Year’s Eve designed to help you step into 2022 rested—and energized. This two-hour class starts at 10 p.m. EST and ends right at midnight, ensuring that you’ll be able to start 2022 in Savasana. (We can’t think of a better pose to start the new year with, to be honest.) This livestream class costs $25 and has a capacity limit, so you’ll want to book your spot ahead of time.
This New Year’s Eve, the New York Zen Center is hosting an online Zazen meditation session. Zazen, a type of meditation, includes short periods of seated meditation followed by traditional bell ringing. This meditation session will help you reframe your thinking in time for the new year, allowing you to start fresh in 2022. The meditation is from 6–8:30 p.m. and costs $25 per person.
