The World Record for the world’s longest yoga chain was achieved on October 6, 2012, at the Yoga Journal conference in Estes Park, CO. Sponsored by DREAM™, a brand of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., the yoga chain, led by instructor Eric Paskel, consisted of 255 participants.
“This event was a great collaborative effort between our two brands,” says Bill Harper, Yoga Journal’s publisher, and vice president and group publisher of Active Interest Media’s Healthy Living Group. “Live events are becoming more important to advertisers who want the opportunity to actually bring the product into the hands of the consumer.”
“DREAM™is thrilled to have worked with Yoga Journal to make history and break a world record,” said Kim McGowan, DREAM™ brand category manager. “At DREAM™, we are committed to helping consumers live a healthy lifestyle by providing a delicious and nutritious variety of non-dairy beverages and frozen desserts. The combination of practicing yoga and consuming DREAM™ brand products brings people one step closer to achieving proper nutrition, balance and a healthy lifestyle.”
The event was free and open to the public. At the event, the DREAM™ brand handed out samples of non-dairy beverages and frozen desserts. All participants received a complimentary commemorative t-shirt.
