Yoga Journal’s Earth Day Digital Issue to Reach One Million People
San Francisco, CA-On April 1, Yoga Journal will publish a digital version of their May 2009 issue in honor of Earth Day. Partnering with such eco-positive partners and advertisers such as TreePals, EcoUnit, Zobha, and SIGG, the digital issue, which will be posted on YogaJournal.com/digital, will reach more than one million people.
“This digital edition not only allows us to deliver a zero-carbon footprint issue, we will be delivering it to an audience three times the size of our rate base,” says Bill Harper, Bill Harper, VP and Group Publisher of Active Interest Media’s Healthy Living Group. “The issue also offers advertisers great added value-including the ability to track reader response and imbed rich media.”
The digital edition includes videos of yoga luminaries Shiva Rea, Duncan Wong and Richard Freeman, a free music download from Jai Uttal’s new album, and other multimedia features. In addition, Yoga Journal has partnered with TreePals to plant up to 10,000 trees internationally. Every time a user clicks on an ad, Yoga Journal receives an eco-credit. For every 15 clicks, Yoga Journal will plant one tree.
