Yoga Journal's First-Ever Music Issue in September Includes Mobile Tags for Editorial and Advertising

July 18, 2011 (San Francisco, CA)—Pop music and yoga have been sharing space for years, but today there's a lot of buzz around their convergence. Yoga Journal's first ever Music Issue features 7-time Grammy winner Alanis Morissette on the cover, and interviews with other musicians whose yoga practice is as accomplished as their music, including Bonnie Raitt, Ziggy Marley, Moby, and Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Jessie Carmichael. Also featured is an in-depth look at the American Kirtan revolution, featuring renowned Kirtan artists Donna DeLory, Jai Uttal and Krishna Das.

This special issue also debuts Yoga Journal's use of Mobile Tags, bringing the issue to life on users' mobile devices. The advertising tags link to advertisers' own mobile or desktop websites, and Yoga Journal's "Yoga on the Go" mobile site, created especially for the September issue, connects readers to a Kirtan music sampler, a yoga home practice sequence, sweepstakes to win advertisers' products, and a special "behind the scenes" photo shoot with the winner of our 2011 Talent Search Contest.
