Exotic Ice Tea

  • 1/4-cup servingServings


  • 2 quarts water
  • 1/2 cup peeled, grated gingerroot
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 regular-size green tea bags
  • Honey or sugar to taste (optional)


  1. In large pot, combine water, ginger and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add tea bags and let stand 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in honey or sugar if desired. Let cool. Pour tea through a fine sieve into pitcher and serve over ice.
