Homemade guacamole is easy and absolutely essential for a Mexican feast. Puréeing the onion in a food processor releases its juices and keeps the guacamole smooth.
Ingredients
- 2 avocados, halved
- 1/2 small white onion, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 3–4 drops hot sauce, such as Cholula
Preparation
Purée onion in food processor until smooth. Mash onion purée with avocados, lime juice, and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
