Next week, May 2-9, is Yoga Week in Washington D.C., which means that participating studios are offering discounted classes hoping to draw in students and raise awareness. However, DC area yoga teachers also want to get across the message that there’s a big difference from practicing yoga once a week, and practicing every day. “There’s a huge difference—in digestive, respiratory, skin, sleep and nervous system benefits,” Boundless Yoga owner Kim Weeks tells expressnightout.com.
It’s clear that studio owners have a lot to gain from convincing their students to come around more often, but most would agree that daily practice is a great goal. (Whether you do it at your local studio or your living room is up to you, of course.)
Have any of you noticed a transformation when you began practicing daily?
