Ever felt a niggling pain to one side of your lower back? The asymmetrical poses we do in yoga can put stress on the sacroiliac (SI) joint, which lies at the intersection of the spine and the pelvis. Hip flexors that are tight from sitting or strong from doing core work can affect this joint too.
