About This Class

Too often we use practice as a means of punishment rather than an opportunity for celebration. The breath is a portal to self-intimacy and rapturous connection to all that is, and all that we are. Join teacher Sadia Bruce and tap into the natural expansiveness of breath for clarity, strength and grace in this one-hour, enlivening hatha-vinyasa practice that will expand your capacity to contain and express the totality of your wild and precious life.

Meet Your Teacher

A teacher of teachers who upends traditional models of yoga teacher training through immersive, multimodal pedagogy rooted in relationship, Sadia Bruce (E-RYT 500, YACEP) endeavors to create energized, radically inclusive learning environments that are guided by breath and driven by inquiry. She came to yoga in 2001 as a college student seeking relief from depression. Today she is an insightful, sensitive teacher whose breath-based teaching encourages pleasurable practice that nourishes rather than depletes — inspiring new openings rather than the deepening of old patterns.

A faculty member at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and at the Esalen Institute, she views yoga as a practical tool to attune to our aliveness— to unlock intimacy, sensitivity, and responsibility to the world within and around us. She combines her expertise in breath-centered, therapeutic yoga, her reverence for the ecology of the human body, and her energetic gifts to guide you to and through a quietly electrifying experience of your own embodiment that frees your energy and ignites your spirit.
