Summertime and the living is easy…sometimes. Oftentimes, it’s a season of distractions. While many of us enjoy taking time to rest and reset during the summer, we can easily get caught up in chasing this self-care ritual through anxious preparation and planning. Tamika Caston-Miller invites you to slow down with this one-hour yin yoga practice curated with the summer meridians in mind.

Meet Your Teacher

Tamika Caston-Miller, E-RYT 500 is the director of Ashé Yoga School and co-owner of The Ranch Houston, an affirming wellness space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals and those in the work with them. She is also a respected teacher and teacher trainer for Yogaworks. Tamika is known for guiding thoughtfully curated yoga asana classes, reparative yoga nidra, and sound bath experiences, and transformative trainings.

Tamika fell in love with the healing modalities of yin and restorative yoga when she was experiencing chronic pain. In adding the movement of yoga to the transformative power of meditation, Tamika was able to experience healing from traumatic personal loss more quickly, and to train her mind to rewrite new endings to old stories that had previously held her back. This has proven invaluable mental training in the face of a pandemic world. A proponent of radical compassion for oneself through authentic movement and meditation, Tamika is excited to share these practices with others as they seek to realize their physical, mental, and emotional goals.
