In an ideal world you’d fall into a deep slumber the second your head hit the pillow and stay that way for eight full hours until you woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. But how often does that happen? Millions of Americans are plagued by sleep troubles. Blame stress, Starbucks venti lattes, blue light from screens…the causes are endless.

In addition to healthy nightcaps, sleep-inducing eats, and meditation, and yoga asana can help (bet you knew I was going to say that). A national survey found that more than 55 percent of people who did yoga got better sleep. And a whopping 85 percent said yoga helped reduce stress. With those statistics, it’s certainly worth a shot!
